“I wanted to recognize the outstanding performance of Meredith Bedenbaugh-Thomas this morning during two meetings. During our first meeting, about the Quality Standard Systems, Meredith provided clear contracting guidance, asking probing questions and helped us towards a much stronger Performance Work Statement. As a result, I have every confidence that we will have the RFP amended by early next week...probably Monday. Meredith came to this meeting extremely well prepared. She treated the technical customer in a friendly and professional manner. She also took the time to explain complex contracting terms so that everyone understood the issues and focused on solving the problem. We walked into a problem contract this morning and walked out with a solution that meets the needs of the customer while minimizing our risk. During the meeting that followed ten minutes later, with a different customer, she again displayed her customary professionalism and knowledge. For this meeting, she was "handing off" a contract to a new KS, Earl Mundell. She and Earl did a magnificent job of raising questions, recommending strategies and guiding the meeting. As in the first meeting, we came out with a specific game plan and I have every confidence that this short-fused contract will be on its way to a quick resolution.
Meredith is one of the best Contracting Specialists that I have seen. She treats the Taxpayer's dollar as if it were her own money being spent. She shows exceptional grace under pressure, patiently listens to customers and displays an extraordinary knowledge of Contracting as she dashes from meeting to meeting, from one challenge to another. I hope that you recognize what great support you are getting and will share this with her COTR.”
